About us

Where agriculture meets innovation

A climate-smart agriculture and innovation hub rooted in rural transformation.

Our story

From an idea to an ecosystem

MontAche began with a simple belief: productive land can become more than a farm.

It can become a place where people learn. A place where businesses are created. A place where young people discover opportunities, where women build livelihoods, where innovations are tested, and where communities become more resilient.

What started with land has grown into a vision for a rural innovation ecosystem one that combines climate-smart agriculture, technology, entrepreneurship, skills development and community participation.

From the soil beneath our feet to the ideas shaping tomorrow, MontAche is building a greener, more resilient and opportunity-driven future.

What drives us

Vision, mission and promise

Our Vision

A thriving generation of young people and women leading Africa's transition toward sustainable agriculture, green innovation and resilient communities.

Our Mission

To build an inclusive agricultural and innovation ecosystem that equips communities with the knowledge, resources, technology and opportunities needed to create sustainable livelihoods and respond to climate and development challenges.

Our Promise

We cultivate possibilities. MontAche turns underused land and human potential into practical opportunity for communities, especially young people and women.

Brand pillars

Five pillars hold this together

Every programme, partnership and building on the site traces back to one of these.

Climate-Smart Agriculture

Sustainable farming systems, irrigation, soil health, resilient crops and responsible land management.

Innovation & Technology

Digital agriculture, innovation labs, appropriate technologies, research and experimentation.

People & Skills

Training young people and women in agriculture, entrepreneurship, leadership and employable skills.

Enterprise & Jobs

Agribusiness development, incubation, agro-processing, market access and employment creation.

Community Transformation

Working with local communities to create inclusive and sustainable development opportunities.

How the hub is organised

The ecosystem is structured as programmes rather than separate brands:

  • Agri
  • Innovation
  • Academy
  • Enterprise
  • Community

What we do
Our position

What MontAche is and what it is not

MontAche sits at the intersection of land, people, innovation, climate and enterprise. It should feel like a modern African rural innovation ecosystem.

What we are

  • Grounded — connected to land and communities
  • Innovative — forward-looking and technology-enabled
  • Inclusive — youth and women at the centre
  • Practical — we build and implement, not just talk
  • Professional — ready for investors and government

What we are not

  • A traditional commercial farm
  • A political organisation
  • A purely environmental advocacy organisation
